My 16th pattern — now available!
Sometimes I need a relaxing, simple knittng project that I can work on while watching my favourite shows on Netflix. This shawls fits the bill perfectly. The six row repeat (only one purl row!) with one decrease is easy to memorize. And works for whatever yarn you have in your stash (or always wanted to have)! The skein I used was one of my “troublemakers”. Some skeins (most often hand dyed ones) have this colorway that doesn’t look good in any pattern except plain stockinette or garter stitch. So I put those two together and added some unusual decreases. I think it’s fascinating how differently shawls can be shaped by changing the ratio of decreases and/or increases. The picot bind-off uses a crochet hook, something playful to finish your shawl. But of course you can use any bind-off you like!
