Pattern Release — Woven Stripes Pillow

Wednesday Surprise — here comes a new pattern to brighten your living room!

After I finished the Woven Stripes Pillow, I knew I had to release this pattern as soon as possible! The background pattern works up quickly and weaving in the stripes is really addictive. The stripes are attached to the bottom of the pillow so only the top part needs to be sewn on.

I love plaid afghans but could never warm to the idea of doing lots of chains and weaving those in the fabric. So I came up with wide stripes and this pillow was born. The color combinations seem endless — I choose graphite and raspberry to accentuate the silver, something classy and elegant. A rainbow pillow would sure look great or a green and gold combination or any of your favourite colors! This is my first time working with Stylecraft Special Chunky (no affiliation) and it’s a great yarn for home decor. 100% acrylic, no knots (at least not in my balls) and holds its shape nicely. At the moment, I’m working on a another pillow with woven stripes to complement this one.

Happy crocheting!
