Freebie Release — Ancient Mosaic Bookmark

Happy Wednesday, here comes a new Freebie for booklovers — the Ancient Mosaic Bookmark!

This bookmark looks way more complicated than it is! To make the mosaic all you need are some slipped stitches and two contrasting solid colors. This knitting technique is called mosaic knitting. Designing this bookmark was fun and I’m not done with mosaic knitting yet.

I love Indiana Jones-style stuff with puzzles and riddles, ancient ruins, secret organisations and mysterious symbols. And of course, trapdoors, treasures and lots of action! What really started this was a movie — Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. After that, I watched Tomb Raider and started to look for adventure books. But I wasn’t just interested in fiction, I wantend the facts, too. I read books about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Alexander the Great, the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantis and whatever I could get my hands on. To this day, I think this is one movie started my interested in archeology and history.

As I started getting into videogames, I discovered lots of great adventure games. I loved to play point-and-click adventures on my ridiculosly¬† slow computer. I’m a bit of a horror buff and games like Resident Evil (Biohazard) or Silent Hill revolve around secrets and puzzles. At least the early games of the franchise. And of course, there is Uncharted. It doesn’t get any more epic than Uncharted, in my opinion. Sometimes I watch gameplays of Uncharted on Youtube, and it’s almost like watching a movie.
