New shawl pattern available — Veela! This shawl bewitches you with all-over lace and stripes!
A few rows of garter stitch add structure to this airy shawl that can be continued to any size. You can use as many colors as you like and stripe at will! My testers came up with great color combinations and gradient yarn works also well with this pattern.
As I was knitting this shawl, I re-listened to the audiobook of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The Bulgarian Quidditch team brings Veela as their mascots. And they stir up some trouble for the male spectators! Later, the Beauxbaton Champion, Fleur Delacour, reveals that one of her Grandmothers was a Veela. And that’s why her wand contains a hair from the head of a Veela! This shawl with its airy and delicate lace pattern seems just the kind of shawl Fleur Delacour would wear — while complaining loudly how drafty Hogwarts is, of course!
Size is adjustable.
