Cables , lace and chevrons all rolled into one triangle shawl — that is Petrella!
Petrella is a triangle shawl with a dose of cables, a sprinkle of lace that transitions to a chevron and a reverse rolled edge.
My mum knitted this gorgeous sample using one skein of Cascade Heritage Solids in Limestone. She chose the stitch pattern and then asked me to design a triangle shawl for her. And Petrella found her way onto my needles!
I really love the reverse rolled edge, it adds a neat finish and hides the bind off. Normally this edge is used to finish the hem or neckline on sweaters. Well, I decided to experiemnt and try it as a shawl edging. As you can see, it worked out and the edge frames the chevrons nicely!
Pattern includes written instructions and charts. Available in English and German.
