A Study in Sand and Scarlet

Worked from the bottom up, this shawl features slip stitches interspersed with garter stitch and a sprinkle of short rows.
Fun to knit and easy to wear – just tie it around your neck and show off the slip stitch pattern!

You’ll need two different skeins of fingering weight yarn (100g = 420m / 445 yards). Choose one light and one dark color – whatever strikes your fancy!

Yarn / Knitting needle
2 skeins of 100g fingering weight yarn, 3.75 mm knitting needle
I used two 100g = 420 m / 445 yards skeins, my shawl needed about 60g of Color A and 55g of Color B. As long as the yardage of your yarn is about the same and you use a 3.75mm (or 4mm if you’re a tight knitter) your shawl should be big enough to tie round your neck.
Darker color is Color A, ligther color is Color B
