Hello! I’m Mareike and an avid knitter and crocheter. I never thought designing patterns could be so much fun! To turn a vague thought into a finished object (that is useful or wearable) feels still like a little wonder to me.
My knitting adventure began eight years ago when I received a pair of knitted socks as Christmas gift from my aunt. I fell in love with these socks – and I wanted to make my own pair! A lot of youtube videos, browsing through books, cursing and frogging later I finally had a pair of wearable knitted socks. And it didn’t stop there. A year later, I had many little balls of leftover sock yarn – and I learned to crochet to make myself a snuggly blanket with double crochets. Since then, both crafts have been a huge part of my life.
